Lynyrd Skynyrd Live in Memphis 1973 ~ A Tribute to Billy Powell RIP ~ All Memphis Music

Hey everybody, it's the weekend and once again time for the
All Memphis Music Specialty Show. This week we are featuring Lynyrd Skynyrd's first ever radio broadcast, which was aired on WMC-FM 100 Memphis, in 1973. This is a very SPECIAL broadcast, as we lost another member of Skynyrd this week, Billy Powell. We dedicate this show to his memory. He was a great friend!!

The performance took place at the world famous Ardent Studios and was broadcast on the 400,000 watt flame-thrower, WMC-FM 100. The FM 100 version of "FreeBird" is a mind-blower!!!

The All Memphis Music Specialty Show will air this Friday night, February 6th at 10:00 PM (CST Memphis Time) and rebroadcast on Saturday morning February 7th at 10:00 AM (CST Memphis Time).
