The All Memphis Music Specialty Show this weekend features Mid-South native Levon Helm. Levon was born in Marvell Arkansas, not far from Memphis TN. Levon heard the music from Memphis and Nashville radio stations from his small cotton farming home. Levon Helm also witnessed some of the earliest performances by southern country, blues and rockabilly artists, which influenced him greatly. This weekend the All Memphis Music Specialty Show will play Levon's latest CD, "Electric Dirt", in it's entirety and will also talk about the life and times of Levon.
The All Memphis Music Specialty Show will air this Friday night, July 24th at 10:00PM (CST Memphis Time) and rebroadcast on Saturday morning July 25th at 10:00AM (CST Memphis Time).
