The weekend is upon us and it's time for the All Memphis Music Specialty Show. This week it's the new CD from the legendary Booker T. Jones. The Rock N Roll Hall of Famer from Booker T. & the MG's has created a masterpiece of a CD that features guitar work from another Rock N Roll Hall of Famer, Neil Young. Booker T. takes his Hammond B-3 and packs it full of punch with Neil and Southern rockers, The Drive By Truckers. The Truckers are led by Patterson Hood, son of famed Muscle Shoals session bassist, David Hood. The combination is amazing and you'll hear the CD in it's entirety. The All Memphis Music Specialty Show will air this Friday night, June 26th at 10:00 PM (CST Memphis Time) and rebroadcast on Saturday morning June 27th at 10:00AM (CST Memphis Time).
All Memphis Music will also give away 5 copies of the new Booker T. CD "Potato Hole" (courtesy Anti-Records) and it's easy to enter. The contest starts today and ends on Thursday July 2nd. Winners will be drawn randomly and you can enter once a day until midnight Thursday July 2nd.
